Autumn Harvest Farm is once again offering our CSA.  We are offering two share sizes this year:  Family Size Share and Single Size Share.

Family Size Share:
Our family share will be the same as our average share of last season.  It is enough for a family of 4-5 average vegetable eaters.  It also includes bread & eggs.  This season our summer share is 20 weeks long and begins the week of June 1st and goes through the week of October 12th.  The cost is $500 which works out to $25 a week.  We try to put an actual value in each box of a minimum of $25 up to as much as $35 depending on what is available that week.  This year we will be changing up the egg and bread choices.  We will offer an egg or vegetable choice and a bread or vegetable choice each week.  If you ever want to order a specific bread you can do so by emailing me.

Single Size Share:
You asked and we listened!  For the first time we will be offering a share for the single person.  Just enough for one!  This share will also include bread and eggs.  The summer season will also run for 20 weeks from June to mid October.  The cost will be $225 which works out to $11.25 a week.  Actual share value will be from $11 to $16 a week.  You will have a choice of bread or eggs or a vegetable each week so you can easily mix up what you are getting without it being too much!  As this is a first for us we would appreciate any feedback you have to make this better for you.

New Recipe Service This Season:
Autumn Harvest Farm       We are subscribing to a new recipe service this year to help our members use all their share items even if they have never used them before.  Each week we will send out our newsletter with a list of share items and 2 recipes for 2 of the vegetables in the share.  These recipes are chef tested and are for seasonal fresh produce and the other recipe ingredients are also seasonal so you can find what you need at the market, not the grocery store.  It also allows all our members access to the complete website of hundreds of CSA friendly, chef tested recipes so you can also search for your own recipe.  It also has a vegetable ID section, cooking tips and 7 day a week recipe support from the chefs.  We hope this will make your share a more exciting experience for you and take the stress out of using all your veggies!!  Once we are ready to start with the share pickups you will receive an access code to use on the Local Thyme Website so you will be able to use this service.  And once again go to our website to sign up for our weekly newsletters.  We don't want you to miss out on anything.

CSA Pick Up:
We are offering pickups at any of the markets we attend during the summer.  Please be sure to mark your choice of pickup site on the form below.  The scheduled sites for pickup will be as follows:

Our share is a self-serve share, so when you come to our booth at the market you will be given a list of choices for the day and you get to pick your own items from the list.  Your share will include a loaf of our delicious fresh baked bread each week, if you choose!  You can choose from our selection at the market or, if you want a specific bread, you may email us 2 days ahead to request your favorite kind!  Your share also includes a dozen of our farm fresh free range eggs each week, if you choose.  The balance of your share will be made up of our fresh seasonal vegetables, herbs, strawberries and occasionally a canned good; jam, pickle chutney etc., from our licensed commercial kitchen, made from local ingredients.

More Information About CSAs

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  Members of the community become members of the farm by purchasing a “share of the farm harvest”.  Members benefit by receiving fresh, pesticide free vegetables grown by people you know.  The farmer benefits by having a predictable early income available to purchase seeds and supplies.  The farmer can also spend more time farming instead of looking for places to sell their produce as they know in advance how much they need to grow for the season.  This allows more concentration on the actual farm work leading to better crops.

CSA’s help keep local small farms farming and help preserve local farm land.

CSA members have a relationship with the people growing their food and can see the techniques used to produce it.  If you want to see the farm for a visit you are more than welcome, please call ahead so that we can be sure someone is available to show you around.

We will also be having a once a month CSA member Potluck Sunday Brunch at the farm beginning in July!  We will email a weekly newsletter with a rough idea of what will be in your share for the week along with 2 recipes for items in your share. All our shares are self serve shares, which means you will be given a list of items and you can choose the size, shape & colors you like. Your share can be picked up at any market we go to.
